The team behind Nanofique are preventing microfiber pollution created by the washing and dyeing process in textile factories with their unique filtration system. They have developed a system that utilizes tubular membrane filtration methodology to remove contaminants, such as microfibers and salts, from wastewater, allowing them to be separated and then either disposed of or reused, preventing them from contaminating the environment. The team hopes businesses will be incentivised to adopt the system due to its affordability, low-maintenance requirements and use of long-lasting components.
