Kintra Fibers

Microfiber Innovation Challenge Finalist

Brooklyn, New York

Kintra Fibers develops bio-based and compostable synthetic yarns. Kintra's flagship yarn is soft, yet strong, and is suitable for a wide variety of apparel applications. While traditional synthetics like PET and Nylon contribute to microfiber pollution due to their inability to break down in nature, Kintra fibers are designed to naturally degrade in aerobic environments such as wastewater treatment and composting facilities. A true plug-and-play solution, Kintra resin and fiber can be manufactured on the same infrastructure used to make PET.
